Our Story
Larkspur Peak is built on a legacy of family real estate development that spans over 100 years and four generations. The Osias-Martell family has its roots in New York City starting with Harry L. Osias, whose prolific accomplishments included the thousands of apartments and row houses in Queens and Brooklyn as well as buildings in the lower east side of Manhattan. Later in his career expanded his work to South Florida primarily in Miami Beach. Harry trained his son-in-law Fred Martell in the family business and together they built Oceanside Plaza at 5555 Collins Avenue on Miami Beach.
Fred and his wife Barbara Osias Martell then moved to Aspen in 1972 where they started and operated the Bagel Nosh at 533 East Hopkins Avenue through ~1980 before returning to the east coast. While living in Woody Creek, the family became avid horseback riders showing horses from New Mexico to Montana.
Legacy
Harry's journey began as a 10-year-old who travelled alone from Romania to New York City in 1910, landing on Ellis Island with $10 in his pocket (~$340 in today's $).

He went on to become a prominent real estate developer and builder active in New York City and Miami during the mid-20th century. His career spanned several decades and left a notable imprint on residential development in both regions.

His projects focused on multi-family housing and modest single-family homes, catering to middle-class families.

HARRY L. OSIAS

Four Generations of Builders
Kevin learned a great deal from his father, Fred both about entrepreneurship and Real Estate Development. Fred passed on the knowledge he had gained from Harry and his wife, Leah.

Kevin’s first direct experience in real estate development was at the age of 12 when his father bought and finished the development of a spec house in Long Island, New York. Together, they expanded the footprint of the existing structure and developed the full 2-acre lot with a cabana, a pool, and a 4-horse barn.

Fred helped Kevin start his first technology company and together they developed successful investment strategies.

Fred and his wife Barbara returned to Aspen in 1986 and lived here until both sadly passed away.
Today, Larkspur Peak is a fully family endeavor with Kevin's Sons and Wife working by his side.
About our Founder
As much a New Yorker as he is an Aspenite Kevin has literally lived just about half his life in both places.

He studied Business Economics and Public Policy with minors in Accounting and Business Law at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. During his time in DC, he worked as a legislative intern and then aid for two United States Senators and the White House. He then started and ran his first entrepreneurial venture, a Latin-American restaurant where he met his wife of 25 years, Iris.

Later Kevin went on to start multiple companies in and around the Real Estate industry of New York City, most notably concluding with the development and deployment of a 152 kw Cogeneration plant in the basement of a 47 story luxury Manhattan skyscraper for Related Management.

As part of his entrepreneurial adventures, Kevin also started a renewable energy enterprise dedicated to circular economy, true recycling systems capable of converting tires and plastics (including PVC) into plastic feedstock oil. Those projects are set to enter production early 2026. (www.enrevopyro.com)
